KINGSGATE APARTMENTS

A large renovation and conversion of an office building in St Georges Terrace, one of the first new apartment buildings in Perth City, the building was re-dressed and re-modelled to incorporate four apartments per floor with commercial tenancies on lower floors. The cladding was lightweight, reminiscent of the curtain wall of its predecessor and the roof deck 'wings', use of colour and openable awning windows allows Kingsgate apartments, in its city context of glass and aluminium office towers, to outwardly express itself.
Several of the apartment interiors were also developed as part the architect's scope.
