HINDU TEMPLE MASTER PLAN - THORNLIE
Archetype Design possess skills not only in master planning of complex sites, but in traditional forms of geomancy such as Feng-Shui and Vastu-Shastra. For this project, we worked with a difficult site to develop a master plan around an existing temple, and one under construction, the former oriented towards auspicious directions for Hindu Temple placement, The administrative offices, priests quarters, retirement village and carparking / landscaping arrangements, Ablutions blocks and Courtyards were located to maximize the flow of positive energy according to the traditional Indian Art of Vastu-Shastra, and within Council Scheme Text parameters for urban development.We have visited and attended consecration ceremonies of numerous Temples in Malaysia, Singapore and India, and are conversant with many Hindu rituals and traditions.The Temple Master Plan has been constructed in Stages over the past 5 years, with ongoing funding underway to complete the proposal as intended.Pictured below is Gorki and Lynette on study tour and Pilgrimage to Puttaparthi , Andra-Pradesh, India at the location of one of India’s most renowned Temple Complexes known as “Prashanti Nilayam” or “Abode of Peace”.
